Our Missions Training HUBs

We are a TRAINING and LAUNCHING organization with HUBs in Nashville and Dallas.  These training Hubs are located among the refugee/immigrant populations in each city which comprise hundreds of language groups from the 10/40 window.  These ethnically dense & religiously diverse areas not only need the Gospel, but they are ideal cross-cultural locations to train and learn best ministry practices in preparation for living overseas.

Each Hub is also led by veteran missions leaders who will use their expertise and experience in international church planting to train you and your team in missional living and disciple-making that results in church planting.  As a part of your training, you will learn how to identify people of peace, gather them around the Word, share Christ, make disciples, and train leaders to plant the church in any setting.  Both Field Reps and Gap Year students train & launch from our US HUBs which provides a unique and beautiful picture of biblical community.

After your training in a US HUB, you are then launched to an overseas location to serve on a church planting team alongside one of our partners. (IMB, TEAM, etc)

THE LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE

LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE

Each training & launching HUB is led by seasoned missions leaders who’ve lived overseas for an extended period of time as church planters, who love training, and who have the heart of a coach.  Their expertise and wisdom enables each HUB to be trained in current best practices of disciple-making and church planting which is relevant to cross-cultural settings, both here and overseas.  Here’s how each HUB is structured:

AREA DIRECTOR/TEAM PASTOR – Each HUB has an Area Director who provides the training and leads the entire team.  They have the final say in all matters for their team.  In some HUBS, the Team Pastor is a separate role from the Area Director, and they provide accountability, soul care, and encouragement.

FIELD REPS – our full-time personnel who train & serve 1 year in the US before being launched overseas.  They are considered our career personnel.

GAP YEAR PARTICIPANTS – college age students who are taking a year to be trained, engage in missions, travel & serve overseas, discern their call to missions, and can do their bachelor’s online at the same time if they choose.

GAP YEAR INFO

TREK-X GAP YEAR is a 10-month missions journey for high school graduates that combines cross-cultural TRAINING by missions veterans, and full-time global MISSIONS immersion into one amazing missions journey.  Here’s how it works:

TRAINING – all of our training is immersive and hands on.  This means you will live, serve, & train through the Fall (Sep-Dec) in our Dallas Training HUB, led by your Area Directors, who live immersed among the refugee/immigrant population from the 10/40 window.  Your Area Directors will use their expertise and years of overseas experience to train you and your team in missional living and cross-cultural disciple-making.  You will spend the remaining 6 months (Jan-Jun) overseas alongside one of our IMB/TEAM church planters.

MISSIONS – throughout your entire journey, you will live immersed among unreached people groups as a team, both in the US and abroad.   You will learn how to identify people of peace, gather them around the Word, share Christ, make disciples, and train leaders to replicate church planting in any setting.  You will walk away with a biblical worldview and equipped to engage  cross-culturally for the rest of your life.

COLLEGE – if you want to pursue your online college while on your Gap Year, you have that option.  You simply pick the online university/seminary of your choice (Christian or Secular) & the degree of your choice. (your additional expense) We recommend a secular degree with Bible & theology courses as electives if you plan to live overseas long term.  This way your degree will be recognized by other countries.

** So, whether you’re about to enter college, wrestling through a call to missions, or taking a break between college and work, our Gap Year could be a perfect fit for you!  Pray about joining us on this amazing 10-month missions journey that will radically change your life, and the world, forever.

CHALLENGE

Think about this!  Two-thirds of our world will never hear about the hope of Christ unless someone like you chooses to rearrange their life to intentionally penetrate those people groups with the Gospel. So, it is our aim to train students, young adults, couples, families, and seasoned adults to serve cross-culturally among unreached peoples, in the US and abroad.  Through our own field personnel, combined with our partnerships with the IMB & TEAM, we are able to place trained workers in almost any country in the world.

If God has called you to missions, to the nations, or to simply take the Gospel to the world, would you consider serving with us and starting your missions journey in one of our training HUBs today? Click on a tab below to APPLY or to learn more about that location, and let’s begin the conversation.  We’d love to chat!
